A 13 year old (Maddy Milne) in New South Wales, Australia, committed suicide on the 25th of April. 13 year old. She was getting bullied at school for standing up to people who were bullying another kid. This happened in February. Some time in the last 3 month it escalated so much that she couldn’t escape. She didn’t want to leave the house for fear of seeing the school kids… she because isolated. And so, thinking there was no way out, a few days before school holidays ended. She was so scared to go back and face these bullies that she saw the only way out being suicide.
In New South Wales, she is the youngest person on record to kill themselves. And from what I can see they are getting younger. MY 12 year old brother cut himself a few months ago. “Just to feel something”
Depression / Anxiety and all other mental illnesses are not forms of attentionseeking!
please, if you know anyone who is struggling with bullying, or a from of Mental Illness then HELP THEM! Talk to them… and get them help.
* For anyone on here who see’s this post. My ask is always open for people who need help. After going through depression myself and still having “Dark Days” (as I call it) I can try to help as much as possible because no-one deserves to feel like that… Like there is no way out.
